The Public Lending Right (PLR) Commission distributes annual payments to Canadian authors for the presence of their books in Canadian public libraries.

The PLR registration period will open on
15 February 2009.


Registration period: 15 February to 1 May 2009

Registration forms for new authors will be downloadable from this website during this period. If you are not already registered, and would like to receive an e-mail notice in February 2009 when the registration forms are available on our website, click here.

Results of the Public Lending Right library sampling will be sent by regular mail to registered authors in mid-February. The envelope will also include a File Update form that can be used to inform the Commission of new books.
